Sherab Gocha wins the Best Paper Presenter Award at ICETCI 2026

Sherab Gocha — a Dabtong House scholar and Master's student at Chiba Institute of Technology — has received the Best Paper Presenter Award at ICETCI 2026.

Sherab travelled to Hyderabad, India, with his supervisor, Professor Sou Nobukawa, to present his accepted paper at the Sixth International Conference on Emerging Techniques in Computational Intelligence (ICETCI 2026), held at Mahindra University.

His research uses computer vision to identify the growth stages of tomato plants in Bhutanese greenhouses — a step toward precision agriculture and smart farming in Bhutan.
