No. 01 With His Majesty's Secretariat
Japanese Tea House in Thimphu
BuildingA traditional Japanese tea house, built in Thimphu in partnership with His Majesty's Secretariat. A long-horizon project that takes architecture, craft, and ceremony seriously as a durable bridge between two cultures.

No. 02 With Chiba Institute of Technology
Academic Exchange (Bhutan → Japan)
OngoingWe identify Bhutanese candidates for Master's programs at the Chiba Institute of Technology and support them through recruitment, application, and the move abroad. Scholarships flow through our university partners and their grantors; Dabtong House handles the in-country side.

Bhutan AI Community
ActiveMeet-ups, study groups, and events around agentic coding for builders in Bhutan. Most recently, Dabtong House supported a blockchain bootcamp and hackathon in Thimphu by sponsoring Claude accounts for participants.

No. 04 With MIT Center for Bits and Atoms
Voxels
OngoingVoxels are programmable, reversibly-assembled units of matter: think 3D pixels you can build into larger structures, take apart, and reuse. Dabtong House supports MIT's voxel research in Bhutan and connects it with Japanese material-science faculty.

Satellite Project
BuildingStudents jointly building small satellites (EduSats), with payload development at CST in Phuentsholing, and integration and launch with Chiba Tech, with support from GovTech.
