Joichi Ito

Joi Ito is a digital architect, investor, and scholar of how society and technology reshape each other. He is president of the Chiba Institute of Technology and director of its Henkaku Center, and previously directed the MIT Media Lab from 2011 to 2019. He has served on boards including The New York Times Company, Sony, the Mozilla Foundation, ICANN, and Creative Commons, which he led as chair and CEO.

He is the Chairperson of Dabtong House, setting its direction and connecting its work in Bhutan to a wider network.
